Chemist – Technical Service |

We currently have an opening for a Chemist in the Lubricant Additives Technical Service Department. This individual will develop applications data for promotion of King’s lubricant additive products. This includes providing technical assistance and presentations to sales staff and customers on products and applications, preparation of laboratory samples, and assistance in scale-up.
Education and Skills Required:
- MS degree in Chemistry or B.S. degree with relevant work experience in development, testing, and application of lubricant and metalworking additives.
- Mechanical ability to run and maintain test equipment.
- Strong laboratory analytical chemistry ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for chemical products.
- Computer aptitude with knowledge of word processors and spreadsheets.
- Self-starter, well-organized, and innovative.

Industrial Hygiene Technician |

We currently have an opening for an Industrial Hygiene or Safety Associate reporting to the Manager of Safety and Health.
The right candidate will develop and manage industrial hygiene programs to ensure compliance with applicable local, state and federal regulations. This individual will oversee industrial hygiene including: air quality, respiratory protection, hazard communications, chemical monitoring, hearing conservation, and workplace ergonomics, in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Education and Skills Required:
- BS within the area of Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent.
- 2 or more years experience in manufacturing.
- General knowledge of OSHA regulations, and industry best practices, especially those that pertain to worker protections.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
- Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision in achieving objectives.
- Ability to develop and present training programs.

Second Shift Plant Manager |

This position is responsible for the plant, including Production and Maintenance activities on the second shift (14:00-22:00 hrs). The right candidate will oversee all production related activities and work closely with the Production Foreman and QC Personnel to achieve production targets and resolve mechanical, operational and processing problems. In addition this individual will work with the Environmental and Safety Departments to maintain the safe and efficient operation of plant production processes and systems.
Education and skills required:
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
- 5-10 years chemical plant/chemical production experience.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Self-starter, well organized and innovative.
- Ability to interact well with other departments and operating staff.
- Creative problem solving skills.
- Ability to identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvement.

Senior Research Scientist |

We currently have an opportunity for an individual with a Ph.D. in Organic or Polymer Chemistry and preferably a minimum of three years research experience in the coatings industry with knowledge of current resin technologies. This individual will be responsible for research, planning, designing and developing new coating additives.
Necessary skills include:
- Strong background in organic synthesis with experience in polymer chemistry a plus.
- Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of global regulatory compliance issues.
- Ability to carry out projects from conception to pilot plant production stage.
- Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with customers, technical service, sales and marketing.
- Ability to research new projects accessing current technical literature and develop and write new project proposals and patent applications.
- Effective leader to drive projects from conception to commercialization.
- Capability of becoming a recognized expert in chosen technical field of research.
- Ability to publish original research in leading scientific journals and to present such information at technical conferences and ACS national meetings.

Swing Shift/Pilot Plant Operator |

This position will provide 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift coverage as needed when operators are on vacation, restricted in duties, or have called in sick. Primary duties will include 2nd shift pilot plant operation and 2nd shift building coverage. The right candidate will work closely with the Pilot Plant Engineer to operate plant equipment, and may assist in the collection/processing of experimental data.
Education and skills required:
- Knowledge of chemicals or experience in chemical processing required.
- High school diploma with some college preferred.
- Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction and multiplication).
- Ability to read and respond to written instructions.

We currently have an opening for a Technical Marketing Manager for our Lubricant Additives European Operations in Waddinxveen, Netherlands. This position is responsible for achieving sales goals by meeting or exceeding sales budget and for developing new business in the sales territory.
Education and Skills Required:
- Minimum B.S. degree in Chemistry or Engineering
- 5-10 years of technical sales experience in specialty chemicals, preferably in the marketing of additives to the lubricant and rust preventive markets.
- Self-starter, well-organized and innovative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and technical skills.
- Languages: English, German, and Dutch.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Evaluate opportunities and develop plans for achieving expanded market share of King’s products in Europe.
- Cultivate contacts with relevant R&D, technical and marketing personnel at target customers in order to effectively promote King’s products.
- Provide technical assistance to customers and distributors.
- Establish sales objectives with European distributors and obtain sales forecasts, call reports and quarterly market evaluation reports.
