Formulating Low VOC flexible coatings

Formulating with a combination of exempt solvents and unique polyester diol resin modifiers allows 2K polyurethane and melamine crosslinked coating formulators to achieve low VOC coatings with acrylic polyols. Read more about how you can achieve your most demanding VOC requirements, while maintaining flexibility. For more information, email: coatings@kingindustries.com

ACS 2014 Technical Paper - Low Temp Cure

Due to the relatively short bake schedules of coil coatings, high peak metal temperatures of 225-235°C are generally required for proper cure. Recently a new class of catalysts has been developed that facilitates the cure of coil coatings at peak metal temperatures of 170-200°C. This reduction in cure temperature can lead to lower energy costs and improved film properties, i.e. better flexibility and less yellowing. For more information or a copy of the paper, email: coatings@kingindustries.com
