DISPARLON AQ-320
DISPARLON AQ-320 is a solvent free wetting and dispersing agent based on a polymer containing phosphoric acid ester groups, designed for making predispersions of metallic pigments (i.e. aluminum paste, pearlescent pigments etc.) in water-borne coating systems.
ADVANTAGES:
Reduced co-solvent demand when making metallic pigment pre-dispersions
Reduced viscosity of metallic pigment dispersions
Improve orientation of metallic pigments
Excellent water resistance
TYPICAL PROPERTIES:
Appearance Light yellow to amber, viscous liquid
Active matter 100 %
Acid value 14 mg KOH/g
APPLICATION:
Recommended for water-borne coating systems.
TYPICAL USAGE LEVELS
TYPICAL USAGE LEVELS:
Carefully dispersing DISPARLON AQ-320 with co-solvent (i.e. butyl cellosolve, propylene glycol etc.) before adding the metallic pigments.
Recommended levels: 5 - 30 % by wt. on total metallic pigment
