K-PURE CDR-3441
K-PURE CDR-3441 is a unique oligomeric ester that contains both hydroxyl and carboxyl functional groups. As a result, CDR-3441 is an effective wetting resin for inorganic and organic fillers, and may also promote adhesion to a variety of substrates, while also participating in the condensation or cationic reaction mechanisms.
ADVANTAGES:
Solventless, viscous liquid
Promote adhesion through carboxylate group
Higher filler loading or lower viscosity of filled systems
TYPICAL PROPERTIES:
Appearance Clear, light straw liquid
Viscosity, 25°C 30,000 – 40,000 cPs
Non-Volatile, 60 min, 110°C 96%
Solvent None
Hydroxyl number (solids) 135
Acid Value 30
APPLICATIONS:.
Amino, siloxane or cationic epoxy formulations
Solvent based or solventless applications
Build polar groups into backbone for adhesion promotion
Highly filled systems
CDR-3441 is soluble in a esters, ketones, alcohols and glycol ethers. CDR-3441 has limited solubility in aliphatic hydrocarbons and is not soluble in water.

TYPICAL USAGE LEVELS:
Treatment levels will be dependent upon application. As an adhesion promoter,
typical use levels range from 5-10% depending upon the system. As a wetting
resin, 10-50% on total filler solids. Because CDR-3441 is a reactive material, the
effect on the cured material should be considered when using higher levels.
