NACURE XC-293 is based on proprietary acids designed to improve the adhesion of melamine crosslinked systems to metal. It is especially effective on aluminum substrates. It can be used as the sole catalyst for partially alkylated or high-NH type melamines or in conjunction with strong acid catalysts for fully alkylated melamine systems. XC-293 has also been found to improve the adhesion of thermoplastic and ambient cure coating formulations.
