DISPARLON 4200-10
DISPARLON 4200-10 is a flowable paste of polyolefin wax in xylene of fine particles of 5 μ or less. This thixotropic agent can prevent pigments from settling and hard-caking in coatings during storage and during coating application with little effect on viscosity when post added.
ADVANTAGES:
Prevents pigment settling and hard-caking.
Post-addition and minimal effect on the viscosity.
Assures homogeneous dispersion of larger sized pigments difficult to wet such as metallic pigments,
thus contributing to the paint stability.
Non-seeding and little effect on the film properties including weather resistance.
TYPICAL PROPERTIES:
Appearance Milky flowing paste
Non-volatile matter 10.0 % by wt.
Solvent Xylene
APPLICATIONS:
Can be used in almost all solvent based enamels including alkyds, acrylic lacquers, vinyls, alkyd/melamines, acrylic/melamines, epoxies, polyurethanes, aerosols, wash primers, etc.
Post-addition of 4200-10 is very useful for metallic enamels and flatted enamels, which are not processed on high shear grinding equipment.
TYPICAL USAGE LEVELS:
1.0 to 5.0% by wt.
